MassMEDIC Announces Transitions to Board of Directors

Press Releases

The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) Elects Michelle Fox, CMO, Teleflex as its New Board Chair for 2025-2026

Boston, MA – August 26, 2025 – The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) has named Michelle Fox, Corporate Vice President & Chief Medical Officer for Teleflex as the new chair of the organization’s Board of Directors.

Michelle Fox joined Teleflex in December 2013 following the company’s acquisition of Vidacare, where she served as a senior leader in clinical affairs. She brought with her more than a decade of medical device management experience and a track record of building clinical infrastructure in support of commercial growth and practice change. At Teleflex, Fox has played a central role in establishing and scaling the company’s global Clinical and Medical Affairs function. She has led the division since its formation, aligning clinical strategy with business priorities and guiding the integration of medical expertise across the product portfolio. Her oversight includes clinical development, medical guidance, scientific and government affairs, health policy and reimbursement strategy.

Fox’s leadership has focused on organizational development at the intersection of medicine, education, and systems change. Her work has emphasized the role of interactive medical education as a tool for translating clinical evidence into practice. She has lectured nationally and internationally on the operational impact of strong Clinical and Medical Affairs functions and their ability to align with professional societies and regulatory standards. Her approach combines clinical subject-matter expertise with the ability to manage cross-functional teams across geographies and disciplines.

Fox holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colby-Sawyer College, which at the time operated in academic affiliation with Dartmouth. She completed a Critical Care Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She has held advisory positions with both medical and nursing societies and has contributed to the development of professional standards in multiple specialty areas. Her work consistently reflects a clinical-first orientation, with an emphasis on patient outcomes, operational scalability, and compliance with medical policy frameworks.

In 2020, Fox joined the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC). Her appointment reflects both her longstanding commitment to the medtech sector and her operational experience at the intersection of patient care, product development, and health systems strategy.

“It is an incredible privilege to be named the Chair of such a distinguished Board of Directors. I am honoured and excited for this tremendous opportunity to continue advancing the important work of MassMEDIC, working closely with the full Board, Executive Committee, and outstanding Leadership Team. Just as Teleflexs focus is on empowering the future of healthcare, MassMEDIC empowers and gives voice to the groundbreaking medical technology industry in New England, which strengthens our communities and supports long term growth.  Thanks to the dedication of MassMEDIC and its members, Massachusetts continues to be a world leader in this sector.”

The MassMEDIC Executive Committee includes Vice Chair Jon Bloom (CEO, Podimetrics), Second Vice Chairs Diana Gelston (Chief Commercial Officer, Best Buy Medical) and Devi Govender (President, J&J MedTech Heart Recovery). The organization also elected Clerk Lisa Brady (Chief Sustainability Officer, Insulet), and Treasurer Zara Muradali (National Life Sciences Lead, Grant Thornton) to the committee. Two long-serving committee members have concluded their tenures: David Kolstad (CEO, Spryte Medical), who served as Chair from 2022–2023, and Rajesh Misra (KPMG), who served as Treasurer since 2019.

MassMEDIC President Brian Johnson commented, “Michelle’s career has been defined by a consistent focus on clinical excellence and innovation. From her early career in nursing to her current position as Chief Medical Officer of a global medtech company, she has prioritized patient outcomes while helping to shape the strategic direction of the industry.”

Rachel Robinson, Chief Operating Officer of MassMEDIC, added: “Having the commitment of such experienced industry leaders on our Board of Directors is a testament to the strength of our medtech ecosystem.
